Normal skin
Ever heard of the term “baby skin”? Well, this is the word to best describe this skin type since it is similar to the skin of children. The skin type with well-balanced water and oil levels which rarely becomes oily or dry. Usually smooth in texture which rarely appears to be oily or dry.
Oily skin
This is probably the most common skin type of Filipinos. Oily skin is easily identified since it has an intense shine and sticky feeling, this due to the excessive production of sebum. This skin type is also the most type prone to acne… and blackheads. Since the pores appear to be in irregular size. Basically, this skin type needs more thorough cleaning on a daily basis.
Dry skin
This skin type tends to have a rough texture and is prone to peeling: which is also more prone to sensitivity. This skin type is easily irritated, which becomes red and itchy due to the lack of sebum production. A skin type that is in desperate need of hydration to maintain its protective barrier.
Mixed skin
The most notable characteristic of this skin type is it shows signs of dryness on the cheeks, around the mouth, and eyes. It is oily in the “T” area (forehead, nose and chin). Blackheads and pimples are common in this skin type whereas the texture is usually uneven.
